What is everyone thinking for weights for winning this event and who do you have taking home the top spot?

Im thinking Kavajecz and im guessing the weight to be at 36 lbs

There are no walleye around Newtown only bass so I'll guess 10lbs takes it and they will be in vanhook....

Rooting for 2K and the locals. Gonna say 42 lbs. I think this warm stretch will kick things into gear. Just got a feeling.

Pretty tough bite out there last week oof. Things better change in a hurry. Went from one side of the lake to the other and not even goodam keiths shiver minnow pulled a miracle. 37 n change wins it on a whim.

I talked to Keith Kavajacz very briefly friday while he loaded up at Lunds Landing. Im thinking the boys will be traveling far west to find a winning bag. 41lbs from a local buddy will win it.

If tourney had boundaries, I would give it to local. Since it is he with biggest gas tank and he who manages fill time with perfection it is an open tournament for all. Many will be running way, way west. 110 plus miles west. Even with Jedi precision speed and fuel management it will give most 2-3 hours of fishing time. The bite can support that because there is a reason people are running west. But still, I think 18 pounds a day wins it. He who stops on the spot on the spot and bangs 5-7 bites in 90 minutes or so will be smiling. But they gotta be the right bites as only leaves about another 1 hour to upgrade fish.

Unless something turns on quick for east end through Deepwater or even the Hook it is no good for the local with limited horsepower aka size of gas tank. I figured this rising water early would have chilled the bite after the flury of ice out fishing but I didn't think it would kill the bite THIS bad.

Wildcard...McKenzie Bay through Deepwater area. Will someone gamble on Van Hook loosening her lock jaw?

At first I wish I got in it because was tough bite. But now it seems bite sooo tough it's a run west thing. Not conducive to those without 250-350 hp. I say the Pros should have to fish the tough bite and not run to easier fishing ;-)

Will a local bang on Garrison Bay every minute of tourney hoping for just three big bites?

Just let them trailer their boats to any Sak dock, like a "normal" person would do.

big runs are part of the game and weather can be a great equalizer and it puts equipment to the test run that hard

Forecast looks pretty tame, would be fun to see that ESE wind go from 13 up to mid 20's by noon Friday. It would make that run back from the west a little interesting...

Curious as to why there is this perception that the "locals" don't have the HP or boats that can compete or run west. Must see something different than I do when on the water on the Mo or Sak.
