heading up to devils for the first time in the modern lake era to take some aunts and uncles walleye fishing... looking for clean shorelines we can pull spinners and catch fish without all the timber snags... 16" are fine, and not looking for anyone's hot spot or hog hole... just general areas to catch eaters with the relatives...

thanks...

What part of the lake you headed to? Slip bobbers and jigs are a great way to deal with the flooded timber and very effective at times. There's lots of areas to cover with the good old spinners-old road beds, points, the flats on the west end, ya just need to find them. My dad and brother fish the west end a lot with slip bobbers and do pretty good. An 1/8oz or smaller jig with a leach works good, or Thill makes some slip bobber rigs that I've had really good luck with, http://www.thill.com/product/pro-series-slip-bobber/, can find them at Scheels, maybe somewhere in DL would have them as well.

Good luck and hope you find fish!
