  1. Middle Lake Sakakawea

Fished out of Beulah bay today. 7 walleyes in 30 to 32 ft on the north shore. The only thing I could get them to take was a spinner. I haven’t pulled a spinner in years and only had one. Caught 5 fish on it and finally lost it to a snag. Dug deep in the bowls of my boat and found one more to finish the day. Usually jigging raps producer well for me this time of year but not today. Nice fish 17 to 21 inches and 2 dink’s.

  2. Audabon

Went yesterday evening thought the gates would still be open coming from Sakakawea but were not heard the bite is good around there when open. So pulled bouncers around the big island close to 83. Ended up with 8 keepers and threw back alot of small perch and walleye. Fish seemed to be anywhere from 22 feet to 40 feet. Kept a few just because of the swim bladder coming out and a few that inhaled the worms.

  3. Salmon on the Lake Post#5

    Hey guys,

salmon have still been very slow for me and there were only 30 fish caught in the tournament and 29 of the 49 boats never caught any. There was some lightning Friday morning early and a lot of guys have told me that that messes with the salmon. Has anyone had any descent luck or any of the more experienced salmon fishermen have any idea from years past have any idea what is going on with the salmon?

  5. 8-16 East end Sakakawea

Went out today. Started out at 8:30 out of Lake Sakakawea State Park. Worked through little ones and plenty of bass. Kept our 10, couple smaller due to catching them deep or hooked too deep. 25-40 feet of water on slow death. Name: 20190816_153318.jpg

Wife and I went to Dry today and only caught 2 16 inchers. Wind died and was hotter than hell on the water and it is really green. I have never seen the weed line out as far as it is.
  7. Hazelton

Went to Hazelton late afternoon and evening. Slow is the word. Caught a couple pulling cranks. Water is very dirty and greenish hue. Water temps 63-64. But it was a great evening to be out.

  8. Porcupine Area Oahe

Put in at Beaver Bay today and ran south to the Porcupine area. Vertical jigging with jigs/minnows & jigs/crawlers. 26 to 28 FOW. Ended up with 4 nice walleyes 16-20 inches, then the catfish moved in. If anyone wants catfish head on down! We could have caught more walleyes but ran out of time. Overall good outing.
