Recent news. The last five trips have produced a total of four fish, but they were good ones. A 29" one night, skunked the next trip. A 30" the next trip, then skunked the next time out. Last night I got a 25" and 26" fish. All are still swimming. You have to put some time in, and gotta fish slow, but there are still a few out there cruising... Jaykay
I've gone out about once or twice a week for the past 4 weeks along that stretch, and my only action was this past week (11/28). Seems to be a brief hit for about 20 minutes either side of sunset. Since the water is so low, I've been fishing from shore or with knee boots with floating crank-baits. The walleye strikes I've had are typically within 10-15 feet from shore (I've caught two or three smaller ones per night). Good Luck!
I might have one more trip in me, maybe next week. Temps and wind-directions look good a couple of nights.
Same results cranking your bathtub but better weather conditions. The decision is a no brainer!
Fished friday night for about 3 hours without a single tap. The show seems to be over. Maybe Elvis never even entered the building this fall...
It's been very tough this fall. Water is down 5 or 6 vertical feet from normal. I've fished a fair amount this fall, with very limited success. There are still a few bigs being caught, but they're few and far between. One thing I could share is, I have had no luck at all, north of the stairs. Seems to be flat and without much current up there. Gotta walk out a long way to get deeper than your knees. Good Luck!
