Inaugural NDA Jedi Bullhead Master Fishcatcher get together

DATE/TIME:
Saturday 07/18/2015 fishing will start at 11:00am (please show up at least an hour early if possible)

PLACE:
Theevent will be held on the pristine shores and blue/green waters of Lake Ashtabula (Baldhill Dam) in SE Central ND at Sundstrom’s Landing which is approximately 3 miles north of the dam on the eastside.
There is a shelter and two picnic tables, a fishing pier, and boat ramp.
RULES
This will be an individual event. Participants will be allowed to fish from boat or shore. There will be an approximate fishing time of four hours.
The emphasis of the event will be the catching of Bullheads with categories for heaviest (length as tiebreaker), total weight, most fish caught and smallest.
Ashtabula offers many other fish species, anglers may catch and keep all other fish in accordance with NDGF guidelines.
There will be categories for all other species of fish inhabiting the Ashtabula waters.
All anglers are encouraged to provide their own stringers/buckets for fish totals
Prizes given away in each category will depend on the amount of donations received.
As this is not a sanctioned "tournament" there is no entry fee and prizes will consist of donations obtained by other FBO members. Anyone with donations or donation ideas can PM KDM or martinslanding.

*Keep in mind boys this is all about bragging rights
After the event NDA member KDM has offered to host the official weigh in and post gathering gala at Fort KDM. There will be food, shelter and beverages all who attended are welcome. The details of the food will be discussed in this thread. All are encouraged to bring something as this will be a potluck style feast.
Please PM KDM or martinslanding or simply respond to this thread if you are planning to attend.

There will be a pre-game open BBQ event the Friday before for those who would like to get a jump on the weekend. I have one gas and one charcoal grill so bring a grill if you can and whatever meats you want to burn. My back deck makes for a great place to meet and greet as well as enjoy a few blue num nums or some home made schnapps (That's your que Zman). I have plenty of sleeping room in my A/C'd shop for the guys as the gals who attend will get the house. I have about an acre of parking for campers, boats, and vehicles, but we'll have to kind of work together to keep the bigger rigs accessible. If it rains, we will just have to move everything inside the shop and continue on. Sunday morning breakfast will be served to those who survive. It's going to be a great weekend!

In. Esh Esh Connery will be in tow. I have an extra cot for someone if they want. And room for 4 in the pickup.

The wife and myself will be there on Friday. Its not a bullhead tourney without the pre game. What better way to spend my anniversary than at fort KDM.

Is this not correct?

Yes this is 100% correct...however a meeting is usually held to discuss the detailed behind the scenes workings of the event, nail down the categories and go through any donations for prizes, it’s also a great excuse to get out of the house and have a few cold frosty mugs with fellow NDAers

Is this on the fri/sat before?

in the past we have held a rules/planning/BS meeting around this time, sometimes we've had multiple meetings...it's open to anyone who wants to attend we just need to nail down a date and time, very informal and generally held at an agreed upon watering hole

I vote for a central location. Bismarck sounds great guys! see you there!

a more central location has always been brought up in the past, it's just really hard to pass on KDM's invitation to host...air conditioned shop with ample sleeping room, Prime rib feast and bonfire, with parking for boats and campers...

one idea bounced around in the past is a winter event focused more on the western members, possible an ice fishing gathering on Audubon might me something for NDA to consider as a great meet&greet opportunity
