Does anyone have a good system for storing a couple of anchors so they don't beat the crap out of everything else within the same storage hold? I've always just stacked them on the bottom but I'm in search of a better mousetrap if there is one.

I'm sure it's got plenty of dents/dings already - what's a few more? Stop babying your boat. :D

But if you insist (which I suspect you will) I would shop for a tough on-sale soft-sided cooler (or coolers) that anchors just barely fit. You can store wet rope outside but when dry put both anchor and rope inside cooler(s) so the rope(s) isn't tangling up with other stuff.

Panthers water spike anchor is a take apart design.

i have a lid from a tote in the bottom of the compartment with the two pieces of the spike and the chain sitting on top.

the wet rope and chain/anchor never touch the carpet.
