1. Red River

Went out yesterday and one day last week to try my hand at pitching some jigs. Not a thing last week, and yesterday managed 2 goldeye. Water is very low exposing alot of the structure I had been fishing over the years. Water temps on the rivers has come up nicely. roughly 45 degrees

  2. Little Pothole

Went out last night on the pothole that I caught a decent amount of walleyes on last year. Spent 1.5hrs in the jon boat trolling spinners and even pitch a jig a bit. Nothing noticeable as a bite. Looked and felt like the ice had just come off, but there wasn't any ice except the shadowed shoreline. It was nice to get out, but 15-20 mph winds and a front coming in with high humidity turned it from enjoyable to freezing in about 20 min.

Went out last night to give a couple ponds (sloughs) a try. Haven't been out for 3 weeks or more. Well everything has changed. Weed lines are obvious, but in the shallower bodies of water, the weeds are through out the whole thing. The one pond has a max depth of 10 ft (that I have found). There was weeds through out the bottom. Managed 2 walleyes (18-19in) and 1 small perch (4 in). We tried leaches and crawlers on lindy's and slip bobbers, jigs, flicker shads, and rattlen raps. They perch came on a lindy with crawler, the walleyes came on the flicker shads.

    Water temp was about ...
  4. Wild Rice River

From Friday, the river rose about 2 ft, but from a week ago, it rose about 7 ft. Had to traverse several slides. Didn't catch anything pitching jigs. If you're into bow fishing, there is a lot or debris on the top that carp were popping up to get.

  5. Red River (Fargo)

Went out again today at lunch. The Red is rising (about a foot in the last 2 days). Quite muddy along the banks and alot of new debris floating down. The river temp has dropped from 65 ish to 55 in the last couple days. Tried pitching jigs, but lost about 5 and called it lunch. The river is also quite a bit faster.

  6. Red River (Fargo)

Went out yesterday over lunch. Pitched jigs. A couple small hits, ended up catching 1 sauger. Water level is up. It appears Fargo has closed some of the drains. The one I was at didn't have any water flowing after 2inches of rain, but last week after .25 in it had water flowing.
