They were way way ahead of the times, I watched this documentary and its interesting at the beginning how the crowd was uncomfortable with how the band was loud playing. This is one band that I would have loved to have seen live. Jimmy Page was a musical genius, Robert Plant had a voice of God and John Bohnam ripped up those drums.

I bet that was an awesome experience seeing a band that had such a big influence on American rock music.
I just started listening to the audio book hammer of the gods which is a tell all of the band members during their touring of the states.

It's been a while. There's two books both with pics in the middle. Pisses me off I can't remember the first. I'll find it and post. I'm surprised Jimmy isn't in the 27 Club with his dabbling in the occult. I hope I'm not a useful idiot because I love their music.

I guess there's more than two:

Richie Blackmore was no fan, quite critical of the band to be frank.

You boomers really did have it made as far as seen some great bands in their prime. Another band i would have loved to see when they were in their prime is Fleetwood Mac, just love Stevie Nicks

Absolutely svn Fleetwood Mac is one of my favorites to listen to, that sultry voice of stevies is unmistakable as far as what sexy is.

Much of their stuff is too "poppy" for me. I just think Stevie is a babe and I totally agree with you about her voice.

"Landslide" and a couple similar songs give me the chills. They're deep tracks. I have no idea of the titles.

I'd give my left nut to see Led Zeppelin in concert in the early to mid 1970's. Saw Fleetwood Mac in Frankfurt, Germany in 1990 and in Fargo in 1997. Lindsey Buckingham was having one of his tantrums and wasn't in Frankfurt. Took two guys to take his place and play. We were right up front, general admission standing, and Stevie Nicks didn't know she was on the planet earth. Christine McVie stole the show. She had a mini skirt on that you could have used for a sweat band and great legs. It was a good show. Fargodome fall of 1997 with all of the band members there and Stevie clean and sober is the best concert I have ever been to.

I saw Plant and Page at the Target Center in 1995. One of the best, of the dozens of concerts I’ve been to.
