Decided to try something different so a buddy and I chased smallmouth bass on Lake Audubon today May 2. Lake temp was 48 so we looked for bays that had warmed up (49-52). We fished rocky windblown shores, points and islands by Pitching jigs to shallows with plastics or shad raps in crayfish colors. We caught 7 with the smallest at 17”, all the others were 18-18.75”. Most of them hit the bait in 2-4’ of water. It was a blast…they fight like bulldogs! And only one other boat trailer at the ramp
