Anybody use a Minn Kota Ulterra, that Deploys and Stow?

Had early versio..nothing but problems. Got sick of fixing it and it went in the garbage. Not sure if recent ones are better but after the first...i do not recommend

Minkotta Mark in Mobridge said the self deploys were junk. He isn't certified with them anymore but I've heard the newer ones are better....how much?

I havent. My father in law got one last year no problems and about every one of my friends that have a boat have it and no issues.

Well i would say they are all very very lucky...not just because i had issues either. Its a well known issue with them. Even the vantage had issiues with the self deploy and retract...plastic gears bad switches.. dont do well in bad conditions...

I have a 2016 model and a 21model ulterra. Big boat little boat deal. Both have worked great a little maintenance goes a long ways.
I smile as I watch people struggle pulling up the hand ones.

Trust me you have been lucky , mine are super babied and have had to go in , guy at a local store told me the new ones are even worse. Last summer I was # 18 in line on a Monday morning , however the service was great only cost me one day

Thinking about upgrading to Ulterra also. Have several friends that have them and no issues that I am aware of.

The newer ones are for sure much better than when they first came out. With that said, they keep adding technology which in turn creates more chances to fail. But like anything you buy, you get the good, or you get the so so, or you get the total lemon.

The new boat has a 36v Terrova...love it so far. Only thing I miss from the Motorguide Xi5 is the "jog" function when spot lock on...loved being able to hit an arrow direction and move 3 feet in any direction with spot lock on...the Terrova does not have that...unless I'm missing something!

Have a 2015 Ulterra and no issues to date, albeit it doesn't get used very much as my fishing time is severely lacking the past 2-3 years......

Your Terrova should have the Spot-Lock Jog feature. Did it come with a heading sensor?
