I have good friends in 2d . With primo private land and they said deer , what deer ? Low populations and huge number of NR hunt 2d on archery tags cuz the state land
How can they accurately predict how many deer are in this unit compared to other units with less habitat, as far as I know from others we never had a problem with disease or harsh winters cuase by no habitat, that killed off large numbers of deer.

I still play the game for rifle and muzzy but it actually might be time for a one tag system. No gratis tags either...at this point I could care less if one deer is left in ND. The management for habitat and opportunity has passed. Fence row to fence row....actually there are zero fence rows now. Sad. Pure Greed

If we went 1 tag system , if it was done right , most people that wanted a rifle tag would be able to get one more often than not . Make people choose archery if they choose that then they can’t apply rifle . It is inevitable

I quit bow hunting N.D. and started hunting S.D. It's a lot better hunting with lots of habitat. And the youth Deer season last for 4 months. Unlike N.D. youth Deer season is 10 days this year. I think the N.D.G.F. should rethink the youth Deer season length.

I forgot to say, your a dip shit to think 26 days are enough. When it's only 10 day season and always has been.

My guess is you don't have children or there to young to hunt.

I'm talking there own season when they don't have to compete with grown ass hole hunters like you.

Compete with who ? There’s so few tags anymore . And honestly 10 days of their own is fine if their parents ( maybe dipshits like you ) can’t figure it out in ten days to kill a damn doe in most cases then maybe hunting isn’t your thing .

SD youth season is awesome. Guess you a chance to hunt in good weather when the schedule allows. I see no point in limiting it to anything but all fall. Give kids a chance to hunt, it's our future. They will learn the short seasons once they get into the adult seasons.

It's a busy time of year with school and sports starting. Believe me, as a parent of two boys who have been through recent youth seasons it's not that easy. November add was nice, but now competing with adults for spots. Weather + busy schedule = not as many days as you think.
