That's what a mere $90K each will get you. And you never see a boat with just one, usually always 4-5 of them hanging off the back of most. I am not livin right i guess lol.

I'm sure I'll never own one. Heck, I've only ever even seen them on the internet. But very cool none-the-less.

Didn't pay much attention to the weight but wonder how one of the 20-21t sparkly boats would perform with one of these. Watching the video, the technology is pretty impressive. Would certainly be a conversation piece.

Have they actually put it in the water? I can't find any info about them actually running it. Wonder how crazy the ride is in that thing.

Although that Yar is sweet, didn't the guy with the 400R on his Yar basically claim it was to much motor? It supposedly would start to chine walk pretty bad at full throttle and he would have to pull her back a bit. I have also never seen any tests or any pics of the above Yar on the water and those pics have been floating around a few years now.

Yes, and that was a 209TFX with the 400R. Somewhere in the low 70's it apparently would get pretty lose, or so the report was. I know Yar-craft tightened up and tweaked those hulls in 2017. They run pretty solid with the current hp ratings, haven't noticed a hint of looseness in either of 2018 219s that I've been in both sporting 350 Verado's. From the report on walleyecentral, the new 219TFX will likely have a 400hp rating. Still doesn't compare to a seven marine setup though!

Those are pretty neat engines. Fully gear driven so you can change the gearing to optimize it to the vessel and desired performance, twin pinion gear case, and has a ZF marine Transmission with a wet disc clutch with the ability to troll at lower speeds than traditional outboards. Guess that's what a $100k will get ya! well that and over 600 ftlbs of torque, lol!
