    Wyoming all you can kill

If you listen to a certain AM 550 radio host, this is exactly the type of thing him and his bureau of farmers are pushing for here. And every year they get closer. Step 1: Insist until you are blue in the face that you are pro-hunting and pro-2A for street cred Step 2: Limit land access...

    New ND CWD plan proclamation

Whole carcasses of animals harvested in North Dakota can remain in the deer unit, or may now be transported anywhere in the state. However, carcass waste must be disposed of via landfill or waste management provider. This does not apply to heads dropped at CWD collection sites or lymph nodes...

    ANuS Inspections

I’ve been checked twice this year in different places. Both volunteers, an older guy from a wildlife club and a kid from NDSU. I’d rather see checkpoints along the major travel routes as well but that probably would require an increased budget. I recall seeing pics of some infested boats they’ve...

    ND PSC Denies Summit pipeline

For something like this, capitalism should play out. If they reach a price point that landowners agree to and they still find the project feasible, great. But this isn’t such a necessary piece of infrastructure that eminent domain should be applied. Just my opinion.

    Butterfly Your Bluegill

Some guys just have to complain about anything. Some lakes you can fish all day and gills are all you’ll catch. Seems like a good way to make use, especially when kids want to bring fish home. We’ve had bluegill tacos for dinner many nights at the camper. My gramps used to fry whole sunnies...

    Start carrying again

We carry 210 rounds as a standard load overseas. I'd say 7 guns and almost 2000 rounds is "much". This guy could have put up a long battle. And while I believe dropping $1000 on ammo per trip to the range is awesome, that isn't normal either.

    Tiger Trout

KFYR Link Looks like the NDGF has stocked hybrid brook/brown tiger trout in a couple lakes (Fish Creek Dam & Hooker Lake). Nice looking fish and they appear to reach a decent size. Some googling shows that they are good in the frying pan as well.

    CORPS must pay landowners

Right, doing their best to control nature which isn’t possible. In areas where development is marginally sustainable at best. This could set the stage for those who depend on the western rivers to sue the corps as well (aka the taxpayer). Should they be liable when the river dries up and golf...

    Property Tax Petition

Accountability and realistic property assessments would go a long way. School wants a new gym and your house suddenly jumps in value? Get bent. And don’t get me started on “specials”. What is the Alaskan system they have with their oil fund? Isn’t it something like residents of x amount of years...

    First Fawn

Morton county seems ok, just this week two WT sets of twins and one doe that somehow still hasn’t dropped. One muley with a fawn as well. I’ll have to check the cam up north this weekend to see what’s there.

    Devils Lake???'s

White bass have been in Devils since ‘71, the perch have boomed and busted a few times since. In a lake that size they have a negligible affect on any other species. In fact they are great forage for walleye. I actually think they make great tacos as long as all the red meat is removed. As far...
