    Tagged Walleye Slow Growth Rate

An inch of growth in an adult fish per year is on the higher end of the bell curve, especially considering the length of the growing season in ND.

    Whats your max wind speed?

Miserable, yes, but I've had some damn good fishing days with bugs. The more they bite, the less you notice.

What Will Happen When Genetically Engineered Salmon Escape Into the Wild?

Mostly sterile. Triploid fish are never 100% sterile as far as I know. - - - Updated - - - I want to know which species comprise this genetically engineered fish.

    Drift socks

I've caught a hell of a lot of fish using a drift sock to drift on Sak. Days when you can't slow down enough to get a 1/2 oz. sinker to the bottom deploy the sock and it's game on! I would recommend having a float. Also. Remember which rope you're pulling on to bring it back into the boat...

    Potty training puppies

Vizslas are what they call "velcro" dogs. They want to be with you 25 hours of every 24 hour day (I've heard it can be that bad).

    Giant Paddlefish

Depending on how large a man that is, I would say that fish makes 120 for sure.

    Giant Paddlefish

I understand what you're saying Jesse, but the fact of the matter is just because they are nearly the same length doesn't put the fish in the same ballfield. The largest fish I've ever seen were actually on the shorter side. Example, 120 pound fish that was 48 inches standard measurement and a...

    Oahe/Sakakawea

Went out of little heart this morning. Visibility was about 8 inches. Lower down near apple creek, I figure much the same by the heart. Go south if you're going out.

    Giant Paddlefish

That's how the GnF measures the fish. It's hard to standardize length/weight measures if you have a bunch of fish without body parts - can really skew the numbers. Looking at KDM's fish, that's not too far from the OP fish. Both great fish no doubt, but for those asking that's only half of the...

    Giant Paddlefish

Great fish. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but having weighed more than a fair share of paddlefish, I would say this fish is 60-70 pounds. I take it your length measurement was tip of the rostrum to tip of the upper love of the tail to get 71 inches? Standard measurements for paddlefish...

    Fishing Alone?

Enjoy fishing solo. Allows me opportunity to try new locations and tactics without all the extra questions of what or why. Fish with my dad and uncle on a regular basis when schedules align. Sometimes is nice to take a break from running the boat and just sit back and enjoy.

    Ditch Ducks

I live is Bis/Man area. McKenzie slough and te Missouri River are not entirely uncommon areas to see some scoters. Far from an abundance of them, but at least a few every year.

    Big Pike Interview

He was baited into that reply a little bit. I got the impression he would like to see a slot on walleyes but he never did say outright that's what he wanted to see for pike.
