    Game and fish has a podcast and one of the episodes centered around state school sections. IIRC, it talked about how the state sold off quite a few sections, especially in the eastern part of the state, to raise money long ago but realized it’d be best to stop that.

    I think this is the essence of the issue. We cap deer tags, have seasons, limits, etc. because it is a finite resource.

    I guess I don't understand that line of thinking. How many regular Joes fish every day, bringing 3-8 extra people with who all want limits? Of course there's the local old guys that fish every day too, but... That said, there are a lot of fishing opportunities in ND right now. Certainly ok...

    No real interest as I don't bow hunt but would it be legal to sit with both weapons (gun doe tag) and shoot a buck with the bow if it comes close enough? Guessing it is, just curious.

    Surprised no one has talked of needing an extended season. Was it 95 or 96 there was a big blizzard the first week of deer hunting and they extended the season?

    Should be a pretty good spectacle the next week or so. Not supposed to get above 20 with lows of 5 to 10 in southern sask after saturday with some snow. Not a whole lot warmer in ND either next week.

    Financial Status

    Seems it's mostly relative, but I'm no economist. My parents bought their house in the mid 80's for 50k, probably would be 300k today. Doubt they made more than 20k at the time whereas now they'd make 150k if they hadn't just retired.
