Curious as to what you guys run in your vehicles for motor oil, and filter. I'm currently running Mobil 1 5w-30, and fram ultra synthetic filters in my 04 Tahoe and my wife's 08 Enclave.

I am thinking about switching filters to Baldwin, and also switching oil to royal purple 5-30.

Just want to see what everyone is using on your vehicles.

Thanks

Twin turbos --- gets the synthetic blend at the ford garage. They said the warranty honors it. I probably will not switch it.

The Chevy --- 5w 30 -- gm oil ----- Chevys dont run on oil --- they burn it :;:cheers

Mobile 1 in all vehicles. Our Honda's get NAPA Gold filters and the Tundra gets the Toyota canister filters.

My 99 farm pickup gets 10-30 mobil 1 during the summer and 5-30 during the winter. 5 quarts of oil and 1 quart of Lucas oil stabilizer.

My 08 grand prix gets 5-20 mobil 1 year round 5 quarts oil and 1 quart of Lucas oil stabilizer

My duramax gets 5-40 mobil 1 turbo diesel oil. 2 gallons oil and 2 quarts Lucas oil stabilizer

All oil and fuel filters for me are WIX

If i pulled more often with the duramax it would get 15-40 but my boat and car trailer dont weigh too much and it honestly isn't hooked to them very often

My 04 Cummins gets Wix for a filter and normally rottela. Our Mazda CX5 calls for 0-20 and have just stuck to Mobile 1 and I'm running Bosch Filters, the Nissan before Bosch with 5-20 Fleet Farm synthetic blend.

Change my own?. I used to do that. Not any more. 5k miles. It's take more than one jug plus filter.

I indexed spark plugs on my outboard. Took me all night. I give up.

Syn Rotella if I buy it or whatever Syn the Ford shop uses if I'm lazy. Nissan's Syn in my Murano. Mamma's Fusion gets Syn blend @ Ford.

100% Amsoil in every cavity of every piece of equipment I own. As far as filters All depends, I try and run Fleetguard, Donaldson or OEM.

Edit, I do run the Evinrude E-tec 2 stroke oil in my G2 E-tec. Specs out equal to and better in some tests than Amsoil and is a bit cheaper.

f250 truck 6.4l powerstroke 160k miles - i run royal purple 15w-40 and I use the motorcraft oil and fuel filters
boat i use the suzuki ecstar 10w-40 oil and filter because royal purple doesn't make a marine oil that i can find anyway

Just a word of caution. If you have high mileage vehicles and have been running non synthetic oil you might not want to switch to synthetic. It can clean up the lube system so good it knocks the sludge loose in the pan and can plug oil passages. Don’t ask how I know lol

If it's a motor I care about I use Wix Filters and Royal Purple. The rest of the Junk gets whatevers cheap.
Synthetic oil would be a waste on the vehicles I drive into the ground.

Supertech synthetic since its almost the same price as traditional oil now days and I can go twice the miles between changes at $17 a gallon.
Used to run regular supertech in my work vehicle and went over 300k miles on it with zero issues. Been running the stuff for over 20 years in about everything and have never had an issue.

I use Valvoline 0w-20 or 5w-20 synthetic in my van, Valvoline 10w-30 in my Caprice and either Delo 400 or Shell Rotela T 15w-40 in the small block chevy in my Willys because they have zinc for my flat tappet cam. No matter what I drive I run either Wix or Baldwin filters, if it's worth putting oil in it's worth protecting.

Been using Mobil 1 for awhile now. I usually get in on their rebates that seem to run twice a year. Can get $12 off a 5 qt jug (up to 2 jugs). Even though they don't list Walmart as a participating dealer, I have never had a submission rejected. Comes out to around $13-$14 a jug after rebate.
