Bite the bullet and get a vitamix, nothing else compares. I had a $300 waring before and it was decent, but I shoulda got the VM sooner than i did.

I don't have one, but I have done the research thought about it on more than one occasion. I have a ninja, and it's purty good, but the Vita-Mix is the real deal. No two ways about it.

I don't know what she puts in it, but when my daughter gives me a home-made carmel macchiato, I'm doing pretty good.

My after workout smoothie consists of almond milk, a banana, 10-12 strawberries, one scoop of protein and some ice.

Thought they sounded neat to have until the price came up.$599.99 to make a smoothie? And that doesn't include the rum.

$600 for a blender? Dang. Buy a Ninja for $80 and a nice gun for that kinda money. Ninja is a good blender. Not sure how much better a $600 blender would be.

Id say do this if youve never used a good blender, or had frozen drinks in a bar. Once you experience what a real blender can do tho, its hard to settle for the cheap route.

Picked up a Vitamix certified reconditioned Next Gen straight from Vitamix website about a month ago. They had some sale and total was $300ish shipped. Im pretty sure 3-4 years ago this model was about $500-$600. I found they like to charge a premium for the "programs". This is where you hit the "smoothie" button and then just let it do its thing. Motors are the same, jars are the same, blades the same, but they want an additional $150 for the set it and forget it program. No thanks, I can turn the machine on and then off 60 seconds later for that savings.

After wearing out a ninja and a brevel, a Vitamix is the only one that has lasted in my house. It is used at leased 2 times a day, sometimes a lot more. We make smoothies, blended drinks, soup, and whatever my wife uses it for and it is going on 3 years with no problem.

I like our NutriBullet. Quick, easy, different lids and cup sizes. No complaints.
