I would have kept it regardless, but I don’t catch as many big fish as Jason. Too bad he didn’t keep it so we could have put snagzilla to bed!

Holy crap!!

Let me repeat. Holy Crap!!

I would have kept it regardless. I released a 32 a couple years ago, and my heel is flat, from kicking my own @ss.

What a fish and a pose too. Doesn't even look like Jason either because you never see him smile that BIG!! Can't imagine a fish that size and age with all its fins in perfect shape, no scars. Great catch. NICE release!!

No girth measurement MItchell? C'mon man.

I watch enough of his shows to know the man takes care of the resource. He was probably more anxious to release the fish to make sure it lives than do any measurements. :;;;;;:thumbsup

A 30 or 31, I'd probably let go as I don't really have a desire to pay for a mount. That one, I don't think I'd release. I'd be quaking so bad I'd have to head in. The chances of a fish like that being caught again are beyond slim.

I believe he was filming the last couple days.

State record - 33" - 15 lbs 13oz
Snagzilla - 32.5" - 16lbs 9oz
Mitchell - 34" - ???

Bob Crow, walleye pro from out in Washington State (Columbia river fame) commented on the facebook page: Bob Crow, "Mitchell that fish looks like a Columbia river fish I know that fish would’ve been at least 18 to 19 pounds out here."

Geez Louise was that today? Was at the tailrace this morning and it was slow. 4 boats in the stumps and only two fish landed.

Fritz, you probably should be fishing in the stock tank, it'd be more like "High-Fence" fishing.

Lincoln, kinda...
Hmm, saw him on the water today. I should have paid better attention! We were still fishing deeper, but the fish are definitely moving shallower as water temp was 48 degrees.
