Minnkota 460PC has a bad bank so I need to replace it. I've looked at noco genius chargers but am wondering what everyone else thinks.

I know a lot of guys running them and know of two in the last month that had one bank that failed, only good thing is interstate battery in Bismarck seems decent about warranty and replacement.

I think your minnkota has a 3 year warranty not sure how old your setup is.

Just outside of warranty, which is about par for the course. I think I'll go with a noco 4 bank. Walmart has it on sale for $241. Noco's website has them for $499.

Damn you Dane!
Why couldn't your's have gone out last week!
What are the odds all three of us had our chargers go out on the same weekend!
That was a great deal!
I ordered another piece of shit minnkota again, thinking it will last me a couple years until I find a 621. :;:muahaha

dumb question, how do you know when you have a bad bank? my 36v ultera was acting up a few weeks ago. I checked the voltage on all three batts and two were 12 and one was zero. Old batteries so I just replaced all three but havent taken it out again to try. Now wondering if my minnkota charger took a shit.

I think one of my lines isn't charging. Do you need a volt meter to tell for sure?

Oh, and Dane....Why haven't I seen that fancy Ranger making waves down here?

Surprised no one suggested a Dual-Pro charger. They are well known to be one of the best in the industry. Heck, if I recall right, they used to have display units that were submerged in a fish tank charging away.

Yep, simple volt meter will tell the story.
Looked at that Noco, 5 year warranty so I pulled the trigger, thanks for the heads up. I'll send the other one back when it gets here. SLE I have had good luck with Dual pro in the past with the 3 banks but the 4 bank is like twice as much money. I'll give this Noco a try.

Didn't know they had one....I was out Friday with the wife around the 4-mile. On Sunday I fished Winnona Island and only had one until I hit boot hill. Filled a limit there in two passes.

Do you have to disconnect the charger leads from the battery to do this check?
