And yet people still vote for them.
This is the most important election our Country will have since its beginning.

And probably the two worst candidates ever on the ballot that are running against each others IMO. I'm not anti trump but I do have higher expectations for POTUS and there's no sin in that. 4 years ago we had some great candidates drop out of the race and I wish we had that choice this election. I'm still hoping some willing soul will show up out of nowhere and save the day.

When I say "Save the day" Meaning that making sure we don't end up with a liberal president that caters to the mess that we have today. It will be a close race just like last election and I am afraid the republicans are losing ground and that hurts to watch.

I agree a liberal president will be detrimental but I stop short of a "disaster", just seems to dramatic. I recall thinking the world would end when Clinton got elected. But being a bit wiser, and definitely older, I don't get very dramatic. It is interesting if you go to places online where liberals congrerate (imgur, discord, reddit) and you will see the same drama about how if Trump gets elected the world will implode. Heard the term gridlock a few years back and how it made for the best prosperity aka the best political winds are both sides blowing at each other and not messing with anything. Is this time different? whenever I hear "this time is different" it is a red flag, because it is probably not... I will likely vote Trump, wish a 3rd party canditate had a chance... Unity2020 is trying to make that a thing, but I don't see it getting much traction.

I remember old daddy Bush always praising "new world order". Ever since the beginning of the United Nations politicians have dreamed of a one world gov. Democrat or Republican the swamp supports "new world order". They hate Trump because he puts America first which is in conflict with their socialist/communist dream. I think Trump is our pnly chance tp lreserve what was passed to us.

I think its laughable at the issues that are being played against us citizens and drawn out party lines. We get riled up to take our sides on guns, race, protests, abortion, socialism vs no socialism. While in the background, our middle class is being gutted, the income gap is widening like never before, our health care debacle is only getting worse with a recent estimate that BCBS premiums are going up again by 15-30% in 2021, social security continuing massive funding problems with no politician having the political fortitude to do anything about it and to top it off the national debt skyrocketing under a R administration. But we transfix ourselves on the presidential race where the real problem IMO lies in congress and the Senate. We don't hear a peep about term limits, we simply need new representation that does not bow down to lobbyists and is afraid to now fall in line with the party message. Nationally we are currently FAR from a democracy and I would contend we fall much closer to an Oligarchy currently. We see this nationally and here in good old ND.

I am frankly fed up with both parties, I have long considered myself a republican but I would honestly like to see every individual currently in politics shown the door. Another problem is the extremes that our parties are nominating and we are electing. No wonder nothing can get done and no wonder we as a country are dividing more and more by the day. What are we teaching the future generations about working together, compromise, etc. Absolutely nothing, Something needs to change in this country and it needs to happen fast. It is going to take one hell of a leader to unite the USA again if that is even possible at the current state of the country.

Lincoln, kinda...
I am with Davey.

I find it very unfortunate that Trump (who I side with on the vast majority of issues) is a dyed in the wool, asshole.

Seriously, is it so fugging hard to not try to piss everyone off? His turning on people that were in his own administration at one point is nothing short of perplexing, he may be the president, but he's no expert in science or many other academic disciplines and his job #1 is to hire the best people he can find for the task. Rather than doing that, he likes his yes-men, ass-kissers, brown-nosers, or whatever you want to call them. His requirement for job security is that they worship him. And yeah, it's pretty much on display every damn time he's on TV when you see everyone up on the stage sucking up to him by thanking him for his "leadership". WTF?

We need Maddog 2020. I'd love to have seen him run.

Note, before you non-independent thinkers even start on me, I am pretty sure I'll be voting for Trump (via mail), just like I did in 2016 because I don't agree with the democratic platform in the slightest.

Note 2. Regrettably, I have long said that Trump would be a one-term wonder. He just can't help himself. And I don't look forward to a Biden-Harris presidency. Not even because I think Biden would be that effective at instituting his policies, I am not looking forward to President Kamala.

Trump IS leading the country in my opinion.

I didn't vote for a pastor, a cheerleader, and a camp counselor. I voted for Trump to claw back on a lot of the BS that Obama put in place.

So far Trump gets a 100% favorable rating from me.

I couldn't care less what kind of an asshole he makes himself out to be on a personality scale - he's accomplishing what he set out to accomplish. That is a miracle for any politician.

Smooth talking slickster Obama also accomplished what he said he would accomplish. Did his wonderful ability to smoothly blow smoke up everyone's ass make up for the ill effects of his actions? Maybe - for some of you dolts.

Do I wish Trump "had it all"? Of course I do. I wince every time he opens his big mouth. But I remain thankful he's doing what he said he'd do.
