You can tell by the smile it was FAIR CHASE. Ever notice the half assed grin when photographed with a HF animal.

Holy titty sprinkles I would have to build a separate room just to put that monster in there

Ya, I'd have to let a restaurant or club display it. Would never fit, and should be enjoyed by more than just a few people.

Very nice. He has four tines before the dagger instead of the usual three. Great mass and beam length.

Hope he has lots of progeny out there.

That bull is probably relieved to be dead and not have to carry all that around anymore.

How come its always the Governors tag? Does it come with an army of spotters?

And yes. I'd shat myself.

Doesn't come with them, but if you can afford a Governors tag, you can afford an army of spotters. In this case, I read that he had 9 spotters helping him, and 1 camera guy. The hunter is the owner of Jimmy Johns. Chump change I'm sure.

This is the guide service that usually handles a lot of the AZ Governor tag hunts

If I could afford that much, I’d have a few guys spotting all summer for me. The Chugach Governor’s Dall tag was killed last week too ($140K). I’m sure this guide has been hiking or flying in to check on this ram at least weekly for the last couple months and probably had assistant guides in tents down the valley to keep others out for at least 7-10 days prior to season.

42 7/8 x 42 5/8 x 15 2/8 x 15 5/8. Not broomed and has more mass then any unbroomed ram in the B&C record books. 184 4/8 B&C!!! This thing makes my back hurt. As far as I’m concerned, the animals on these hunts are the guide’s.

About as close to a canned hunt as you can get without the fence. That dude just showed up and shot it. He didn't "hunt" it.

How can they keep others out?

They cant. But if I had a world class Chugach tag with a 0.33% chance of drawing, I wouldn’t hunt the same drainage that another hunter is in. that is unless I knew this ram was in there. In which case I would sneak past em in the dark and smoke him. But the vast majority of hunters don’t have that kind of time to scout. No air access allowed in this unit and it was probably a 15 mile hike to get him.
