I didn’t even know getting denied for swan was a thing. But 3 of the 4 buddies of mine that applied were denied. Thought that was weird.

Every year there is extra swan tags, what happened to the population or just more people apply this year?

I’m guessing more people applying(more than likely non residents). I’ve heard from a reliable source that the state has sold way more NR waterfowl licenses so I’m guessing they applied for swan tags too.

I’m assuming there is no allotment on non resident tags? If so this year will be a damn shit show with all the non residents! I have never seen a year without extra swan tags!

They gave out 500 less tags (2700 vs. 2200) this year so applications were basically unchanged, maybe even a few less. There were 185 leftover after the lottery last year and about 300 people got denied this year.
