After the Goodyear debacle I’d personally cross that off my list

Heard their has been balancing issues with KO2's lately.

Not on your list but I've been looking at the Falken Wildpeak at3w's. Anyone run them?

That's what I currently have on my Sierra 1500. Overall they have been good and would recommend. Have about 45,000 miles on them and they still have at least 10,000 left on them. Have been good in snow/rain, aren't loud, appear to be wearing good, and were priced reasonable. They also look pretty good IMO. For a highway all terrain I would recommend. Another I would take a look at is the Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S. I ran a similar version a few years ago (AT/W). I believe they don't make that anymore and the AT3 4S supersedes it.

Duratracs are a little more aggressive and I think make a little more noise on the highway. Probably have a little advantage off road. BFG K02's seem to get high regards but they aren't cheap and only available in LT sizes (last I checked). I don't need or want an LT tire for my use so I ruled them out.

Lincoln, kinda...
I had a few sets of Hankook Dynapro in the 10 ply. Good tire, I probably got around 40k out of each set.

I switched last fall to a set of Sumitomo Encounter AT tires, quite a bit less in price than the Hankook and for the first 15k miles I have no complaints whatsoever.

I've had Hankook and now have the Falken Wildpeaks. I really like the Falkens so far, but winter will be the final test.

i've run nothing but at/kos on my vehicles for at least 10-12 years now. 1/2 tons and suvs. nothing but good things to say about them. in 16 inch, they should come in 10 ply.

my kid has the falken wildpeaks on his pickup and i have dura trac . It would be tough for me to go away from the dura trac as they have been kick ass from here to the mountain roads in Idaho.

I'm on my third set of Cooper AT3s...great tire but not super durable...I've gotten about 25K miles out of each set...but I run a lot of gravel?

so hunting truck ... if most of the roads driven are off road then out of your two choices the Duratracs would be the way to go...if you are going to be driving more smooth surfaces then go with KO2s they area little quiter and smoother on the highway and still have plenty of grip and traction

In the oil patch we’ve had the best luck with Toyos if your on gravel all the time like us. They wear like iron.

I pay close attention to overall tire weight as well as tread depth when trying to make a decision. Tread depth is pretty self-explanatory. Overall weight adds/subtracts mileage is a good measure of adding/subtracting Fuel mileage and “power”. A heavier tire robs power and mileage.
