Hey everyone,
I just moved to North Dakota from Michigan with my yellow lab. This winter I'm looking for some people to go ice fishing with. I have all of my own gear including an extra hub and am looking for fishing friends so I don't go out alone because I tend to do that. I'm located out of Bismarck, but I don't mind driving around. If anyone wants to meet up soon, please get a hold of me!

Welcome. Weather turns for the good next week. Should be lots of people getting out. Be careful on Missouri/Oahe ice if you decide to go that route.

Welcome!! Be extra careful and watch the local folks for where and how they get around on the ice. I'll take a season or so the get the hang of it, but even long time fishermen are dropping rigs in the water. Good Luck and hope this "Normal" winter doesn't chase you back to Michigan.

Welcome. be careful out there and as stated before watch how locals get around but still be careful with monkey see monkey do. I have been on ice that is 8"ish and seen 1 ton diesels driving around which is not recommended IMHO, I still walked on and walked off.
Good luck and have fun

What does this "tagging" mean? Are you waiting for Maggie to wake up? Do you have to get on back to school? Do you feel you're being used?

Hey Mort a job transfer led me here. Yeah, I'm not going anywhere. I love it here, the cold doesn't bother me. Real winters happen in northern MI, the U.P.- they definitely get more snow than here, but ND is colder!

NodakBuckeye I went to MSU, so not a U of M fan at all. Haha. I am targeting walleye, crappie, and perch. I was out at Beaver last weekend and got into some pike and perch, but I really want to get some eyes and crappie.

Ain't it weird how the brain reads what it wants? I would've bet money you were "Maggie".

There are some good lakes between Bis and Minot. Be happy to meet up and hit a few. More the merrier.
