55D16E6E-59FE-4476-8D3A-468C99C050CD.jpgI’ve had a variety of gun dogs over the past 50 years but have never had one so in love with swimming. Her own personal record is a bit over 2 hours nonstop up and down a long Havasu Beach in 50 degree water while I walked alongside.
Drop a rooster into the Heart River and she’ll do her rendition of a Dock Dog leap from a high bluff into the water, retrieves the bird, back up the steep bank and drops the wet rooster at my feet, then instantly off to flush another one! She can retrieve a Canada from water, as long as it’s dead, her 30 pound fighting weight a bit light for an angry wounded Canada!

We added a new member to our family a few weeks ago. She made a trip ice fishing with me the day I picked her up. Mack is a cutie and kids love her. Chocolate lab with some heeler. May make a hunter, seems very smart.

Here's a shot of me and Max at the VA for a workshop. He's bored to death and was just sitting there daydreaming.

This is Remy. I didn’t come out of fall thinking I’d be getting a puppy so I didnt save any birds/wings but he’s having a lot of fun with some pheasant tail feathers. Has a real aggressive pounce on them. Hoping a picked a good one. His parents are pretty awesome athletes.

Damn puppies and their cuteness really makes you want another one.... and then I remember contemplating leaving mine on the side of a road on a few occasions...

My labradinger listens well, and hunts well but may be mentally challenged otherwise

I actually have almost zero complaints. He likes to kill birds and he makes me laugh. Can’t ask for more

I didn’t realize trisomy 21 was a thing in dogs.

I’m sorry. That was mean. I felt bad even typing it out.
