Humminbird 360 for ice fishing

Those that have used the 360 sonar imaging in the boat, would you try this for searching for schools of active perch in deep water through the or would it even work in 30+ feet of water. Thoughts

Does the side imaging ducer need to be moving for it work. Does the 360 ducer actually spin in the housing. I have 998c si would love to use it this hard water season or maybe I should sell it. I had plans to put it on my boat but since I fish from shore it sits in my closet.

There is a guy who has one setup in a van for ice fishing... saw him 2 winters ago... I thought about it and if I had a permanent house I would set mine up but the space limitations on my wheeler setup just isn't going to happen for me
