Wife had a nice 5x5 run down the road in front of her Friday morn on her way to work. Only buck she has seen as of late and she has quite the herd to get around every morning. Lot of corn still standing, been an easy winter for the deer in my area.

Have found three piles of hair i assume what is left in what little i have walk (no bones).

However, i would think that this year has been, overall a mild winter for them with all the feed still standing and is finally being harvested.
Hope it shows up this year in the numbers and success of offspring. db

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, I believe the piles of hair are the deer licking their winter hair out as they lay in their bed.

Over the years I have seen this a number of times and was at least hoping what you say is right but man sometimes it appears it must be their entire coat but again no bones, skulls or the like I have found.
So it seems what you say maybe right. db
