i bought one of the first year jd z445 25hp 54 in deck, had to put a needle valve in the carb a few years ago been pretty much abused over the years on the farm and now its at the lake.
got a hustler super z 72 inch deck 35 hp kawaski I bought it as a demo with 70 hours on it. saved 4k over new price. super heavy duty comercial mower skalping sob though.

Update:
I ended up getting the Gravely ZT HD 60 with the Kawasaki motor. It is a "residential" mower, but has many of the same features as their commercial ones.
It is an incredible machine. Going from tractor to zero-turn and 48" to 60" deck of course allows for much faster cutting, but what I found most impressive is the ground speed you can cut at and maintain a good looking cut. My JD tractor doesn't even go that fast.
