Nice goat elk hunter. Every one I've seen so far have been in the 12 to 13 inch range, none bigger none smaller. Very odd setup but with the latest weather I think I'll give it a couple days to dry out before I try going back out. those roads are going to be pure crap.

We had a darn good day yesterday despite the howling wind and very few antelope around.
This never would have happened if not for some friends help finding him that's for darn sure!
Taken with a 257 Weatherby at 450 yds, such cool critters. That big hook really adds the inches up, to bad he was busted but my partner isn't complaining!

The weather was terrible for finding antelope so it was a good that I had an idea of where to start looking from archery season. Found this guy about 4 hours into the hunt. After a sneak and a short belly crawl he was in the crosshairs at 120 yards. He was rutting pretty hard yet and constantly running two bucks off so it took a bit to get him to stand still. He returned to his does one final time. After I dropped him the the does stood around and it was a race to the herd for the other bucks. They postured over the dead buck for a bit then started to split up the does. It was a great hunt. Now only about 10 more years until I draw another tag.

BEAUTIFUL HEART on that critter! Awesome Job!
