For our neighbors to the north in Saskatchewan that is..
Can you imagine if we drastically limited buck tags for just residents only here in western ND like they do, we have the same genetics and landscape.

Just a thought.

This one goes 282 gr, I have seen one that nets close to 300 and will be the new WR P&Y if he enters it. Gotta love mild winters and dry summers for big antler growth.

Cool standoff!
What would you do with an any buck tag in your pack?

These bucks have all been taken in just the last couple weeks and rifle season is still a month away!

Lol good luck.

But in all honesty I think they need to take a look at the muley youth season. Not against giving the kids tags, but think they should move the season to october or only regular season. It is way to east in September and alot of big bucks get whacked.

Assuming that's still SK, I'd have to take the Mule Deer assuming I had the tag. Might be able to get a whitetail tag and find the WT next yr but that MD is gonna be dead before they draw another tag.

I'd put my Rez tag on the mule deer and my state tag on the white tail. Problem solved:;:rockit

I've run on or very near the US/CA border from N of Havre MT to N of Crosby ND. Cananda pretty much looks the same. I've hunted along the border enough to know the deer pass through it with impunity.

Im by no means an expert but have hunted western ND all my short life and I’ve seen exactly 2 non typical mule deer. Guys like 5575 probably have a better gauge tho for sure. On the other hand I know ND can and does kick out some giants. Wish I had my rifle tag back from last year :/

Plenty of nice muley bucks have been killed in nd this year- just go on Facebook page of dumbass bucks and bulls . That guy must be trying to get as many people into nd to hunt as possible

Well I hunt allot up there and down here and live in western ND. I also score quite a few of the bigger contests in western ND so I have somewhat of an idea of what this state is capable of.
There are allot of great nontypicals that are killed each year here that just didn't get a chance to get another year or two or three more on them. It is what it is I guess. It would be cool if they even just made a handful of units trophy units with more limited tags with point restrictions just to see what could be. Heck I think a 4 point a side or better rule should be in place for anything west of the river. :;:thumbsup
