Think of the benefits
El nino coming back in March. Spring wet. Summer storms. 93 all over again

Channel a flowing big time
Pelly access wide open
Back in anywhere up north
6ft water on 281
Shrimp Mecca
Cold Busch light or 30

Good vibes. That's looking at the bright side of things. When the wind goes down and I am digging out it will seem like it's all worth it.

on the getting stuck thingy. our silly 18 year old kid "needed" a new car. gave up a perfectly good trailblazer with 4WD for a FWD Nissan. living in the country. not so smart. bout sick of giving him a push in 3 inches of snow to get him started down the driveway. also, never dresses right. i feel like a failure of a step dad sometimes.

on a side note... for sale: 2008 trailblazer. 141K miles. darn good condition both aesthetically and mechanically. bitching stereo system.

the majority of teens are dumber than a box of rocks - no getting around it - mine were

I was going to perform some cold weather testing on some rifle and pistol magazines today. One of those tests involves dropping a loaded magazine onto concrete from 4’. Unfortunately I cannot find the concrete. Testing has been postponed until a later date.

Talked to a friend from Fargo today that said her neighbor across the street has 4 sections on his garage door and the drift was at the top of the 3rd one. At least we didn't get the wind (yet) like you easterners did today, when we got our 12 inches of that white shit. Hope you get things cleaned up quick. Just looked at the NOAA forecast for tonight, -36 with a wind chill of -55. WTF. Nothing above 0 until Monday then a 60% chance of more of that white shit. I HATE winter.

Spent a couple hours blowing, taking down 1’-4’ drifts in the street with the neighbor. Wife made it home by some miracle. Can’t wait to blow out the driveway again at 6 AM so I can spend all day tomorrow scrambling to catch up on what was missed today. Wouldn’t be so bad except I picked up a nasty bug. I hate this winter.

Yup...and its..hold my beer...we gotta get to work boys!!!!

All kidding aside, its insane, you can even feel the stiffness in the brake pedal and steering wheel let my truck warm up
at least for half hour and it still was stiff....nuts what -40 temp can do.

I made it through the night with the mobile home with one little minor tibit....cold water line froze a tad, I had the hot water line dripping more than the cold. I was able to unthaw the line with a hair dryer from inside.....water heater lines that go into the floor, the hole is big enough to where you can get air down it. Thought I try that spot first and lo behold, boom unthawed. no fun babysitting water lines..

Yeah Mort, just figured out our water quit. Called neighbors down the line and they are out, too. So although its my problem, its not my problem. Rural water folks are gonna get cold.
