Russell Marine Products out of El Dorado Kansas. Ask for Justin. Tell hin Aaron from ND sent you. Big discounts right now. Nice people. Great service. I am not affiliated; just a happy customer.

Boat show season is upon us and there are usually some good deals to be had on electronics. It also depends on what features you are looking for.

Depends on what models you are after. Figure out what you want and go from there. Reeds is a good place to watch for sales. Don’t be afraid to ask for a price match from your favorite store when you find a deal.

I have bought trolling motors and graphs from Wade at Dakota Tackle in Bismarck, in the spring when he has his sale, I offered Scheels a chance to price match but they have declined every time, That was for both boats that I have owned

Lincoln, kinda...
Last spring I purchased a pair of Lowrance HDS with side/down scan from Scheels for a better price than I could find anywhere on the web for the exact same models. Plus they threw in the lake chips, which were another bunch of dollars I didn't have to spend.

Sometimes it really can be better to buy local.

The sportshow is in Bismarck this weekend, I'd start there on Friday and then hit the web on Saturday with purchase being made on Sunday from where I decided to give my business.

I think mine are HDS Gen 3, 7" screens.

While I like them, the side and down scan take some time to figure out how to interpret.

^^^That's what ticks me off about technology...every time I buy something, something newer is released shortly after...but what the heck is a guy to do...:)

Very hard to keep up with technology -- unless if you want to spend big bucks every time. Way back when when computer buying i went with the pick something that is above average 75-85% of what the top is. Run with it 5 years and your good. I think that is all you can do with fishing electronics unless if you have the big bucks (and some choose to spend every year and have the latest). I also dont buy used as you dont know how it was treated.

I have used online sites, reeds, the scheels/cabelas/bp - just have to shop it. (online moodeals, gps store) some of these have ebay stores and you can get a ebay coupon for more off.

Internet research ... then talk to Scheels and Reeds about price matching ... Reed's had some really good deals at the boat show in Fargo a few weeks ago ... Sportsman show is coming up and Reeds usually has a huge set up there.

Boat show this weekend in Bismarck. I bought my units two years ago and saved a few hundred $$. Best time to buy is right now because all of the new technology advancements in next year's model will come out this summer.
