Some interesting graphics in there...up to 2" of liquid in the southern RRV, that would be bad.

Little Minneapolis will get ran, an inch of ice, and 8 inches of snow, whipped up like a Dilly Bar thanks to the 40 mph sustained and 60 mph wind gusts.

And then we'll flood.

And then we'll have mosquitoes.

love it! that kind of optimism it contagious.

I'm going with 11inches in Lamoure. As long as I can get to Bismarck Friday afternoon for kids wrestling I dont care how much we get.

Well, here in Devils they are predicting 1-9. I wish I could be that specific in my chosen profession..... I know we are on the edge and a small shift could have us buried or just dusted.

FWIW, with the wind this storm has...we'll be able to argue about how much we got until we're blue in the face.

Good interview last night BTW. I get to do those too from time to time....it's always a crap shoot what clips they'll use on the news and if you end up looking like an idiot or not.

The snow and blow hit here about an hour ago. Not looking good already. Snow is horizontal.

Just got off the plane. Worst flight I've had in a long time. Sustained moderate to severe turbulence for 2 hours on the NW side of the low, plus a rough landing.

I have only ever seen a wind map like this one other time (Fall 2010). http://hint.fm/wind/

wind.jpg

I say 6" for Bis, 12" for Kidder, 6" for VC, 4" for Fargo.

With that rain/ice/wind = broken power lines, and trees falling on roofs, just since you forgot it. (Hoping it does'nt happen for you guys over that way or anywhere as far as that goes. Stay safe all.

so far looks like all blow and no snow here and hopefully we got enough melt the past few days to keep what we have on the ground from blowing

Weather bucket sightings?

Checking in. Weather Bucket has declared winter officially over. You have nothing to worry about. We’ve transitioned to measuring moisture content instead of snow depth. We hope to have sufficient data to forecast creek chub numbers by Friday.

I don't know how anyone is going to be able to get an accurate new snow total. After the last 2 days it melted alot of old snow so I too thought maybe it wouldn't drift the old snow very much. My road was clean at noon. By 2:00 pm the wind was going at least 30 mph. Got home from work at 5 the road was blocked tight with 2' drifts and it hadn't even started to snow yet so I don't know how You tell new snow from old snow.
