Really ought to be asking about moisture/precipitation totals rather than snow totals. Eastern side of ND/SD is supposed to see thunderstorms.

No one really cares about the east side its a barren wasteland void of trees and life.:)

My snow blower is crying uncle and sucking it’s thumb in the corner of the garage. Probably a full blown blizzard with this one.

With 60 mph winds it won't take much snow to make 20 foot drifts.
Watch the idiots trying to drive the streets and getting stuck and having to leave their cars on the streets. Really screwing up snow removal for the city and county road crews.

Lincoln, kinda...
BTW, I'm expecting 8 here in Bismarck. With about 0.65 inches of water in it.

I'm a pessimist by nature when it comes to this stuff.

This is the 3rd winter I've had a snowblower. Its just a mid size one, probably small to most of you guys, but it really throws the snow. I bought it used, and was the best purchase I've made in a long time!!

P.S. Whoever invented the snowblower deserves a special place in heaven

FWIW, with the wind this storm has...we'll be able to argue about how much we got until we're blue in the face.

I got about 3" of shaved ice last night sitting on a pure ice base, great for skating when you walk on it. After today it looks like we're slowing down on the snow for the next week or so.

Snowblowers are never the thing you want to spend money on, but once you bite the bullet you realize how much easier it makes a bad winter. I picked up a very lightly used top of the line Toro for half price a couple springs ago from some couple who was selling everything and moving to AZ, now i laugh at snow storms.

I have a small driveway and a little sidewalk to the steps. I could shovel it out, but it just got harder each year. I got to where the rest of the day I was shot. This little blower dose a great job, even the plowed snow is easy now. I can't believe I didn't have one a long time ago. I picked one up pretty cheap off Bizman.

Last week Yates got at least 12 inches. It was spread pretty even, and it took them forever to plow the streets. My driveway had a consistent 10 or 12 inches, and the same on the streets. Not sure what we'll get but it will be hard to tell with the wind forcasted.

Little Minneapolis will get ran, an inch of ice, and 8 inches of snow, whipped up like a Dilly Bar thanks to the 40 mph sustained and 60 mph wind gusts.

And then we'll flood.

And then we'll have mosquitoes.
