No pictures or it didn't happen:)

Love the catfish raccoon trailer park pic, classic!!

You talking about our bear? We actually had two for several years on the ranch, never caged or chained up. Darn things thought they were dogs I guess! ha ha

run sheep! run!

That VW bug stalled on us while joyriding - unfortunately out by the UTTC. We had to leave it overnight.

Went out in the morning and every window had been busted out. That was the end of that.

stylish high waters and bowl cut from 1972. No Coons in the pic but we had two of them back then. The male was a terror.

the high water pants are a classic

they’d fit right for only three months at that age

and weren’t turkeys less numerous then?

Yeah, there was no open season in North Dakota until the spring of 86 I think. I know I hunted that one. But, reading further some online articles I see that ND had some limited seasons in a few areas before that. I think 1986 was the first time it was opened state wide for spring.
I grew up in the Missouri Ozarks. had fantastic turkey hunting from the mid 60s on

26184654-85AE-4C6C-A9D2-A59F3DB6C5EB.jpgI thought this pic was lost forever but was glad to see that it still exists. Still my biggest walleye ever, I was 8. Caught by boggy(sp) island around the corner from Bear Den.

Ha ha ha my brothers were driving through Wy, rodeo stuff. Had a few to many cold ones and pulled over to take a leak. Just so happened they did it beside a herd of sheep! This was way back before cell phones,so my brother getting this on film was pretty spectacular really. All in good fun, no sheep were harmed "or bred!" :;:muahaha

it was embarrassing that they were so new that didn't have any tasseling yet though

ha ha ha - I just remembered. My Grandma babysat us one time and she trimmed the "ugly white loose threads" off my brothers favorite go-to jeans that were at the perfect stage

ha ha ha - he was mad - but it was grandma so he had to eat his feelings

The poor woman probably felt like you buys were being abused, not having your jeans ironed.

Nothing says "love" like ironed jeans.

Looking at some of these pics and another site had some oldies. It must be a shock to some youngens that so many animals were harvested or fish caught without all our $500 high tech sitka gear. All anyone wore back then was long johns, jeans, flannels and some type of camo coat. Proof the world has gotten outa hand.

I don't completely disagree with you. I get it, that some people fall in love with the gear, more than maybe they should. But if they derive pleasure from it, so be it. If someone wears a $500 jacket, it's their business.

I know that we don't need all the bells and whistles that life offers, yet there are lots of ways that things are better now than they used to be. I sure like power steering for instance, and novocaine when I have dental work done. I also enjoy indoor plumbing and flipping a switch and having light.

I think sometimes people talk about the good old days as if they were the greatest, and yet here we are, sitting at a computer or on a smart phone, like a bunch of ladies.

in the old days women wouldn't have got to use the smart phone or computer
