Funny have had that sheep photo for over 30 years and never ever thought of focusing in on his ass...
But if it is discolored to you it was probably from getting the hell beat out of it on the backs of bulls a couple times a week if that makes you feel better.

I don't completely disagree with you. I get it, that some people fall in love with the gear, more than maybe they should. But if they derive pleasure from it, so be it. If someone wears a $500 jacket, it's their business.

I know that we don't need all the bells and whistles that life offers, yet there are lots of ways that things are better now than they used to be. I sure like power steering for instance, and novocaine when I have dental work done. I also enjoy indoor plumbing and flipping a switch and having light.

I think sometimes people talk about the good old days as if they were the greatest, and yet here we are, sitting at a computer or on a smart phone, like a bunch of ladies.

I don't disagree with you either. I actually bought my first pair of Kuiu pants this year and they are awesome. I guess I was just stating fact that clothes have changed but not hunting. Just ask Fred Bear.

Cleaning fish in the back room at Ed’s Bait 26 years ago. Their scale wouldn’t give me “whopper” status.

Boy, isn't that the truth. Not that it was better, but my dad had a 15ft fiberglass boat with a 70hp merc, and we skied and kneeboarded behind that thing all day. then blew it up, and upgraded to a 85hp Suzuki. then we were barefooting.

Had a buddy whose dad had a similar boat with a 115hp merc, and that was something. Another buddy whose dad had a boat with a 150, but wouldn't let us use it ever.

A 200 Yamaha on a barefoot boat was a rocket. Now there are twin 350's on pontoons.

Not saying times are worse now. Just different.
