I seen scheels dropped the lifetime warranty to 3 years, I hope they drop rod prices as that is a big factor in warranty. Most rods have 100% markup or better so I have a feeling it messed with there profit margins.

Even the ONE rods? They are $200-300. Why would I buy a Scheels one instead of a different brand with a better warranty

It's not surprising to me that they changed their warranty policy on rods. Too many dishonest people were taking advantage of their warranty and I know a few that did.

I think they stopped making that cheaper loomy rod for bb. I don't see it

Kid broke a walleye series rod last night, so now I'll get to see what this new warranty is all about. Wish I knew how to post pics. He said the rod literally exploded into 3 pieces when he set the hook. Wish he would have had it on video.

Buddy's had that same thing happen 2 or 3 times on the "one" series before he said screw it and traded em in for guide series. Sounds like a shotgun blast when they explode.
