17.1 was the bucket weighed with the fish. 14.6 is what it was. And the fish mostly go up the warm tributaries to spawn I think. but I am no biologist

Now the real question....was it taken legally??? Seen pictures of it caught down in the heart river in Mandan. They’ve been snagging big fish down there all week, last time I checked snagging was illegal. If it truly was caught legally congrats, but from what I’ve been hearing the fish being caught down there not many are biting.

I took my 2 kids down there the other night so they could see some big fish, out of the 15 or so I saw come in, every single one came in sideways like a 2x6, so congrats to this guy to find the special bait that made this one want to bite legally.
