Want to go catch some fish?

Just had the guys that said they were going cancel on me tonight. Doesn't leave me much time and tomorrow looks to be a beautiful day. Plan on heading up to the New Town area, we could meet anyplace along 94 west of 49. I can take two to three guys, kids whatever. I want to go catch a bunch of fish! ha ha It was great Monday.
Rest of the family has other plans.
I even have the poles and tackle if you don't, just pitch in for bait and gas. :;:thumbsup
PM me if your interested.

It was a beautiful day to be on the water! Lots of smaller fish at first. But thanks to friends we got into some nicer ones and we're running out of minnows by noonish!
Duk was great to have in the boat, worked out great! "Ramp was a zoo, but everyone was very patient and in a good mood it seemed". :;:thumbsup

Thanks Chad for putting out the invite and accepting my plea to tag along. It was a beautiful day and nice to meet someone new and fish a new part of the lake I have not fished before. When he says the dock was a zoo no exaggeration, I got my weekly exercise parking and retrieving the truck for docking. As stated no big fish but keep busy and put some eaters in the freezer. Thanks again Chad, enjoed the day and meeting you. Dale

Every ramp was a zoo. Left the cabin at vanhook to head west new town marina was a circus dumped in at casino. Milder circus at ramp. Never fished newtown before as I am a van hook snob. Took awhile to find them but when we did action was steady. Bite for us got better as it warmed up. Started at 49.7 water temp and when we found the bite it was 56.5 we got into south of the bridge north was just a shit show of boats

FWIW guys we got a lot of Lindy and minnow. I had the brood with and the oldest (6)thinks he has to cast jigs can’t just pop them off bottom after pleading with the kid for seemingly an hr and untangling many crossed lines we went to Lindys .4-.6mph .

Took the kids out today, talk about a 180 in weather and fisherman. Fished the west/south side first, had the sock out and almost got tossed out a time or two. Wasn't paying attention while idling out to leave and took a big one over the bow..good time to get back to the other side! Had to work for them today, graphed lots but the takers were few. Still ended up with our 4 person limit and fished all by ourselves at several spots.

Good info, why not van hook? Water temp should be warming up? I’ll be there next Monday for a week of fun times. Hopefully the fish will be snapping,

Was planning on giving van hook a try but after talking with people around the campfire and everyone heading west I guess I just followed like a blind sheep. Took the in laws pontoon out Saturday evening warmest water we found on the hook was 52 degrees way back in parshall bay. Main lake was still upper 40’s. This warm up should help by next wknd

Can someone explain what a zoo at the ramp is like? I might have to venture out west in a couple weeks and would like to know what to expect.

Just get there at 530am and you'll be fine. Even getting there later it wasn't a big deal, everyone was patient. Just tough to find a place to park, should have went to the casino. The pressure will be spread out allot more down stream with these warmer temperatures coming up, the fishing will be heating up all over as well!
