Careful, they may rape and pillage the resources.
Brown plate express . . . coming to a county near you.

Damn right!!
The 15 year old girl shot a dandy tonight!
Raped my precious resource. :;:
On a side note, may have had the best sit of !y lfe Tonite.
Sat with a new gal- pal and we were smothered in bear.
Don't know how many but it as a steady perade.

Very nice. Based upon the wound in the pic, should've heard the death-moan and had a very short, uneventful tracking job!

As far as bait ideas, check with a local butcher shop. They may have boxes of stuff(bones, outdated product, trimmings not able to be repurposed, etc) that probably is going in the dumpster anyway. Might be able to work a deal with them..save me scraps/bait and I will spend some money in the shop. My guess is that a few bear hunters are already doing this. Just a thought.

Had some dandy bear on camera but nothing came in while sitting that was worthy of a tag, YET!, but no shortage of bear this year. A buddy shot one Wednesday evening, his second and had a blast. Heading back out with my daughter on Thursday for a few more days and her first attempt at bear hunting. Can't wait to see her expression when the first one comes out, just hope it is a respectable bear.

Well, a dad from Nodak brought his son back for 1 more try at pillaging my precious resource. Got a bear over 500# that is a daily visitor.
Being they are non- residents, gonna charge em 2 cases of beer other then the residents fee of one case;:;bowdown

I was just kidding. Some people think the game/fish is THEIR game/fish and no one else's.

I think it is awesome when you all can get out and hunt. We need to continue the tradition of hunting.
Good luck to all you hunters!

We got our bears at Winnipegosis. South Shore Lodge is a great place.

Hopefully he comes in?
Well hell, I hope he does too but...
One thing I've learned in bear hunting for 35 years is,
Most older bear are killed OFF the bait!
Any bear with age on him in farmcountry MN has seen/ smelled it all.

With that thought process, have you ever tried setting up a stand on an approach trail to a bait, say 50 yards off the bait? Or do you think that would just deter him from coming until even later?

Yes I have. It's never worked.
