You'll find the interim committee for the aftermath of SB 2315 and HB 1021 (the end-around, last-ditch tack-on by Erbele to get the "study" pertaining to land access and three-county "trial" database) on Pg. 28 of the document below:

https://www.legis.nd.gov/files/resource/66-2019/miscellaneous/committee-structure.pdf

Yes voters from the session for 2315 outnumber no voters 4:1 in the appointed legislators. No surprise that Erbele and Patten are on this committee, as sponsors of the disastrous bill and its subsequent incarnations.

David Dewald is president of the NDWF board and will be a good representative of sportsmen and is a strong sponsor of youth shooting sports and conservation efforts throughout the state, and Brian Shanilec was an outspoken hunter-landowner who issued an opinion piece against 2315 at the outset of the session and is pretty even keel from my interactions with him.

Joe Schettler (if it matches up with the story) appears to be a rancher from out around the Killdeer Mountains area - https://www.agweek.com/news/4138276-ranchers-wary-cut-lion-hunting-quotas

John Weinand is a former president of the ND Grain Growers Association from the Hazen area, so probably has ties to Unruh and other bill sponsors/supporters from that region of the state. https://www.ndgga.com/about-us/board-directors/

Feel free to fill in the blanks with your knowledge of members, and as the committee meets and I learn more, I'll keep you posted.

Thanks Nick. Its important we stay on top of this. The Yes Voters will stop at nothing to sabotage good intentions and solutions.

We need to make sure we follow through on this, now.

Anyone see the final makeup of this committee? I don’t know how they are going to come up with a compromise that satisfies all sides when each of the legislators on the committee were yes votes on 2315? These under the table tricks need to be put into the light. These legislators need to be revealed for their true intentions. This committee is nothing more than to keep the no trespass law alive. Time to vote these people out next fall.

Thanks for the update. How to find out when and where around the state these public hearings will be held? Or will there even be public hearings? Nine people on that committee and sportsmen have TWO votes. Figures.

I kept a list of the final house vote and it is amazing how many of them from major cities voted yes on it . They have to be looked at carefully next election.

Somebody say something to make me feel like we still have a fighting chance on this.....................

Talk about a stacked deck. The public says no no no no and the legislature will still cram it down our throats. M'fers.
