I spun the hub on my prop tonight. Any recommendations on where to go to get a new one pressed in?? Yamaha motor. I'm in the beulah area so near there or bismark would be best. Thanks!
For the flo torq type hubs, I do it myself using a couple 2x4, some washers large enough to fit in the back side of the prop but still hit the hub and a punch/hammer. Use the 2x4 to raise the prop off the floor keeping a gap for the hub to go between them. set the washers on top of the hub and slowly drive it out with the punch. Works like a charm. Remember to grease your new one when you put it in! Granted, this is on new, or moving a hub from prop to prop. Ive never spun one so Not sure how much more difficult all that deformed plastic would be
I'm hazarding a guess this is not for a universal prop with a motor specific hub insert. Rather, it's probably for a specific to one manufacturer prop with a rubber hub.
Personally, I've never spun one either but I believe they have to be pressed into place.
