I had some sort of Chinese/Asian cherry tree in my front yard. Storm damaged it a few weeks back. I've got all of the branches off of it. I'm down to the main trunk which is about 6.5' tall and ~20-22" in diameter.

Based upon what I see where the main branches have come off @ the trunk, there's some beautiful dark red wood in the tree. I'm not a wood-worker but it seems like the trunk is too pretty to just burn up as firewood.

So, if someone's a wood-worker and wants to pick up the trunk in Fargo, PM me and we'll figure it out. I don't want anything for it, I just think it's too nice to burn without at least trying to find someone who would like to put it to better use.

I would cut it in 3" slabs cross wise and use it for antler boards. That would be awesome varnished once its dryed.

Well, someone has committed to save the trunk from the fire-pit.
