Don't mean to hijack, but looking for opinions. I picked up a new Husqvarna last weekend from Lowes, and noticed some scratches and rust the second I got it home. I'm considering returning it and picking up a Toro from Ace. Anyone else have experience with the timecutter series? Which motor is best (toro or kohler)? Looking at the 50" without the fancy suspension.

Seems like almost any mower I hear about with a Kohler or a Kawasaki has been good.

I hate mowing had to do a acre with a push mower as a kid

Week Sauce!!! we had three to push mow until my old man had enough grass clippings to cover his gardens. That part sucked after he got what he needed then we could use the rider

Have the same Timecutter MX series as OP and have had zero problems in the 6 years I've ran it. Has Kawasaki engine. Heavy duty fabricated deck and serviceable hydros are worth the extra.

Is the suspension worth it? I'm having a hard time justifying the extra $700 for that. What about the smart speed control?

Nice rig !!!

As others have stated, Kawasaki and Kohler are both excellent motors.
