I have the 22" from Walmart, and can cook for a family of 5 no problem. Love it for pancakes and quesadillas. They do eat up propane so use a big bottle if you can.

if that's not big enough you need to reduce your portions

Who carries these in Bismarck? Was hoping to have one for this weekend, but it appears that Walmart doesn't stock them. Anyone seen any good deals on them lately?

If I was to do it over I would buy a portable Camp Chef system. Probably the Pro 90x set up. It would be very handy for hunts, and far more versatile..

At the very least I wished I would've bought the Camp Chef dedicated griddle over Blackstone. They seem to be built a bit better IMO.

Whats the difference between the two? I thought Blackstone's were dedicated griddles? I actually went to buy one last night but Menards had already closed so I plan to grab one today.

I just wish they had them in stock so I could have it for this weekend. I'm sure there will be some good Black Friday sales coming up soon.

They had them earlier in the year. They are winding down grill sales, seen a $500 pit boss for $327 last time I was there

Yes Blackstones are dedicated griddles. Think they make a tailgate model that has a little grill also, but mostly just flattops.. Camp Chef makes a few systems where you can interchange tops, or parts of the top and have a grill on one side, and fryer burner on the other. Or pizza oven on one side, and flattop on the other side. Etc Etc. It's spendy when you add it all up, but for long hunting or camping trips it'd be worth it. Also, these types of cookers have a lot better, higher output burners. And made to be more portable.... Blackstones suck in any cooler and/or windy weather.

Camp Chef also makes dedicated griddles. There are pros and cons to both:

I wish I wouldn't have opened this thread again. Was pretty settled on Blackstone, but now have to check out the Camp Chef.

And now today I see that walmart has a new model on sale for black friday...I might still just go to menards and get the 28" on the 11% sale. I'm not a black friday shopper.

I'd check Scheels, Runnings, Ace, TSC, Lowes, and Menards. Someone is bound to have one that'll fit your bill.

I'm really looking for the 22" for the portability, but I might not be able to pass up a good deal on the 28".

so those that have them, the 36" is 4 burner and 28" is 2 burner correct? is there a 3-burner?

That one is kind of a modified version of the standard 28". It doesn't have wheels and i believe the shelf unit is a little different.

The only 3 burner i've seen is the one in this years walmart black friday ad.

good call on that being a modified version, comes with cover ... but might just be better investment in getting the Pro Series one from Home Depot for $199 ... Walmart has a tendency to carry specifically made models for their stores, that often are lesser quality then originals

There's a lot of truth in that statement.
