Nice work. I too am a proud Viszla owner. She will be 3 in March and I was actually able to hunt her the first fall so this is her third hunting season. Never owned a pointer before and now will never own anything but a Viszla. She has been amazing. Today a co-worker and his son and I bagged 9 roosters, 7 grouse and 3 partridge. Not a bad day if you could tolerate wet boots and pants. Seemed like we should have had waders on today.

I have two of them. One of them is afraid of his own shadow so he stays home. Wrigley, the female (pictured) is an absolute stud of a dog in the field. However, she won't retrieve which doesn't bother me too much.

I couldn't bring myself to go with so many ducks still in the area. Maybe after freeze-up the wirehairs will be unleashed on those poor Nodak roodies.

Took the lab out on a spot that is usually good for at least one and as always it was in the same creek corner and as usual I am on the wrong side of the standing brush and missed;:;banghead. Bird held tight and Sadie did a great job getting it out, man I suck at shooting shotgun.

Haven’t seen a bird since the storm. Not that they were abundant before.

I went out Sunday and only got one. Just me and the dog. Roosters were coming out on the wrong side, hens were coming out on my side. :(
Man, I forgot how good pheasant tastes though.

Went out last weekend against the wind/snow and got my three. Heading out tomorrow again - should be easier walking this time!

I am considering this weekend as my pheasant opener weekend as we got so damn much snow last weekend I never got the chance to get out. Was too busy snow blowing the GOD D#*%$ snow all weekend! It was my first time in many many years that I didn't get out opener(although I love late season Rudie hunting better!). My Springer wasn't too happy about not getting out also!!
