I can hear snows flying over . Is this going to be a fly over year ?
With all of the snow on the ground I'm thinking a lot of the geese will
just head south .

18" of snow is not helping . We need some melting to keep them here .

maybe we’ll melt sooner than CA

and maybe they’ll slide east/west to go around the deeper area that got hit

Some Snows are trying to land in the standing tipped over wheat, they don't stay long before moving, not to many stubble fields, there was a shit load of them yesterday, not to many today, this was by Lignite, I bet around here, 90% of the fields are still standing

Shot 6 snows today as well as 2 specks in s.c. ND. Ducks figured out the standing bean thing pretty quick. Guys please rethink driving into fields until things freeze. Its gunna be a gumbo mess for a good week or two, even on the high ground.

We got hit hard here and there really isnt much snow in the fields. Blew away i guess. And the exposed black dirt helped melt a bunch today.

saw some good sized flocks in central ND this morning. But very few cranes. Slow migration.

Lincoln, kinda...
I was up north of Fessenden last Wednesday and saw a fair number of snows and blues.

They were swimming around in a bean field eating their fill.

Drove from Bismarck to Fgo yesterday late afternoon. Saw a few off of I-94 starting about McKenzie and ending just E of Jamestown. I didn't see any big flocks or "Goose Tornados" though.

If anyone, other than landowners or folks with explicit permission to do so, is driving into fields right now, I hope they get slapped in the forehead. We struggle enough with access and the whole posted/not posted thing, I'd hate for a year like this year when farmers are stressed enough as it is to be the straw that broke the camel's back.

Sexy little flock of 5,000 or so just east of town this morning. Reason why I say sexy is it 60/40 split with more specks then snows.

And the highlight has been these three hanging out down by Glenco for the past few days.
