Saw/heard several flocks fly over last night, around 11PM. The Canadians don't show up against the underside of the clouds, but the snows sure do. Oddly enough, as they flew over south Bismarck, they were headed straight east (for the very short time I could watch them).

Had piles of Canada's heading south this morning in W SD. And saw a decent group of snows sitting on water.....second time in the last 15 years I have seen snows on the ground here. Cold front is moving some. But I would guess the largest pile is still in southern Canada.

Yep, just drove to Jamestown from Bismarck, and back. Snows and Blues were seen about every 15 miles.

Some mega flocks of snows between Underwood and Coleharbor. Fished east end. Huge flock on the water southeast side of mallard and another probably 2 miles NW of mallard. Crazy.

Getting to be the last hoorah out in the open country but they sure are putting on a pretty good show this morning! Water is definitely firming up quick and even massive flocks of geese are having trouble keeping anything open even the Deep stuff.

Dean, where were the above photos taken? I’ve got a brother and son that are going out bird hunting on Wednesday and would like to help them out on the location of birds. Thanks

If you go out anywhere from the big lake to Washburn east to Jamestown you can't not find them! Now this cold snap will be changing that but as of yesterday as I would be sitting looking at one flock all I had to do is scan slightly on the horizon to see many, many, many more. Hell thoses two shots are 15 minutes and 10 miles apart!
