First Ice - Predictions

b The eastern edge of the refuge around the canal was frozen out to the main lake
And there was a photo posted from one of the access points, The Ice was very windblown when it formed, the Facebook post from the fisherman on the ice was 2 1/2 - 3” On the 30th. One fisherman was out maybe 100 yards and another out nearly 300 yards

I'd be careful venturing out after these last couple days of warmer temps. Ice in stockponds that was 6 inches or better of hard clear ice got rotten in a hurry. I used my 4 wheeler to break holes for the cattle to drink after moving them to a new pasture today. Drove on watched it crack and sag so just sat in one spot till the back wheels fell through and then drove out.

Saw a couple guys out on a small lake this morning. As crappy as that ice looked those better be some big perch!
