Shot a good buck yesterday that is deserving of a European mount. Only problem is that the final shot while he was kicking on the ground entered the back of the skull causing one side of the skull to shatter. I haven't caped him yet to assess the damage, but I'm guessing it will be quite significant considering one of the antlers seems like it's only being held on by the cape.

Has anyone used the replica skulls for European mounts? The ones I've seen look cheaply made, and aren't even remotely close to resembling a real skull. I'll try to rebuild the skull, but I'm guessing that wont work well. Any other ideas?

Get a skull from someone - should be lots of decent size skulls available with similar rack size but owner doesn't care about racks

post a pic and I bet someone will have a matching skull you can have

I forgot what it's actually called but it's like JB weld for bone. You can find it on Mckenzie taxidermy supplies. I have pieced together a few skulls with it.

I have used the "fake skulls" before.. They aren't terrible & aren't very noticeable unless you are looking for it. IF I think of it I'll take a pic tonight & post it.

Mountain Mikes I think they are called makes replica skulls that don't look to bad. The have 2 different ones were you use the skull plate and attach that way or cut to horns off like sheds and attach that way.
